.NET Developer
Position Overview
The ASP.NET/VB.NET/C# developer is responsible for developing and maintaining several web based applications for the company. These applications include Intranet, Internet and desktop based applications. This position requires in-depth knowledge of ASP.NET utilizing VB.NET programming language as well as strong MS SQL Server 2000 experience.
Essential Job Functions
- Web application programming in ASP.Net with VB.Net (.Net Framework 1.1/2.0) for the company’s enterprise system. This includes some limited support for existing ASP based applications
- Relational database work with Microsoft SQL Server 2000 consisting of tables and stored procedures
- Work closely with QA, Data/EDI and Support teams
- Perform technical analysis in associated with business requirements provide Business Analysis team
- Planning documentation for the architecture of systems with class diagrams, database schemas, mock ups, and timelines
- Adhere to programming standards
Requirements
- 4+ Years VB.NET/C# programming experience
- 4+ years MS SQL Server 2000 experience
- Experience with: MS Visual Studio, MS SQL Server 2000, Visual Source Safe, Object Oriented Programming, web services and desktop development
- Ability to develop complex stored procedures
- Maintain a high standard of quality in daily functions
- Maintain reliable attendance, punctuality and adherence to company procedures as outlined in the company handbook
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed to meet deadlines
Other Skills/Abilities
- College Graduate with degree in Information Systems or at least 5 years in a related field
- Microsoft Certifications related to database development and design
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Good attention to detail
- Positive attitude towards change and ability to adapt
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional time management skills and ability to self-motivate
